There are few places on this planet, which have not yet been photographed. So when I arrive at a destination for the first time to photograph it for a client - I always come to the realization, that "So many other photographers have shot this before me. Now it's my turn. What is my take on this subject going to be? How am I going to photograph it differently?".
I found this question especially daunting of the Eiffel Tower one of the most photographed structures in the world. Since I was living in Paris at the time I took at least 3 months of walking by and just looking at the tower before I even considered photographing it. In the end I decided on a straight-on shot in very low light, the sunsets behind the tower are absolutely breath taking, but I really wanted everything dark around it so you couldn't see tourists or anyone… I wanted the viewer to have a one on one relationship with tower.
You see none of my photographs in this section are altered in Photoshop. I feel that travel images should be reflected as reality and not enhanced with Photoshop techniques. The only alterations in these photographs would be techniques that would be used in a dark room. Colors and Saturation are techniques which produce similar results to shooting on Fuji Velva50 ISO chrome film.
In this section you will find travel photography from countries such as China, Taiwan, Thailand, America, Belize, Guatemala, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Puerto Rico, various Caribbean countries and more, lets not forget my native country Canada as well.
I would like thank you for taking the time to view the images in this section. There are quite a few photographs here so I hope you have the time to browse though them all.
